Advanced Campaign Combination Guide
The most effective promotions combine multiple tools — shipping rules, vouchers, VIP tiers, and credit — so customers spend more while your margin stays protected.
Shipping + Voucher
Section titled “Shipping + Voucher”This is the most common combination. Set it up carefully to avoid cutting into profit.
Safe setup example:
- Spend RM120 → free shipping
- RM20 off with minimum spend of RM150
Customers add more items to unlock free shipping, then add even more to unlock the voucher. Both thresholds push your Average Order Value (AOV) higher.
VIP + Voucher
Section titled “VIP + Voucher”Reward your best customers instead of discounting for everyone.
VIP exclusive voucher:
- Create bulk vouchers with maximum 1 use per customer and a short expiry date.
- Share only with VIP members.
This makes the VIP tier feel valuable and encourages other customers to upgrade.
VIP free shipping privilege:
- Tag a special VIP item with
[FREESHIPPING], or offer VIP members a lower free-shipping threshold.
Customers feel they have earned a benefit. This builds loyalty without blanket discounts.
Credit + Voucher
Section titled “Credit + Voucher”Credit encourages repeat purchases. A voucher drives the purchase right now. Together they work as a conversion booster.
Conversion booster example:
- Give the customer RM10 credit.
- Offer a RM15 voucher with a minimum spend of RM120.
- The customer uses credit plus voucher to complete the order.
Result: higher order value, credit is used, and the customer builds a repeat-buying habit.
Controlled discount model:
Instead of one RM20 voucher, give RM10 credit and a RM10 voucher with a minimum spend. This spreads your discount cost across two transactions.
Shipping + Credit
Section titled “Shipping + Credit”Instead of always offering free shipping, give the customer credit equal to the shipping cost and let them decide how to use it.
Customers feel they “own” the credit. This often converts better than free shipping because the credit feels like cash in their account.
Tiered Campaign (Advanced)
Section titled “Tiered Campaign (Advanced)”Stack multiple reward levels so customers keep spending more.
Example:
- Spend RM80 → RM10 voucher
- Spend RM120 → free shipping
- Spend RM200 → VIP double points
Each level increases basket size, engagement, and perceived value.
Flash Campaign Model
Section titled “Flash Campaign Model”Duration: 24–48 hours maximum.
Combine:
- Fixed-amount voucher
- Free shipping
- Limited usage cap
- Short expiry
Profit Protection Checklist
Section titled “Profit Protection Checklist”Before launching any combination campaign, work through this checklist:
- Calculate your margin after the voucher discount.
- Add your shipping cost to the calculation.
- Factor in payment processing fees.
- Run a simulated checkout to verify the numbers.
- Confirm the minimum spend logic works correctly.
- Set a usage limit to cap total discount exposure.
Campaign Design Framework
Section titled “Campaign Design Framework”Ask these four questions before you build any campaign:
- What is the main objective — increase AOV, clear stock, or reward loyalty?
- What is your margin safety level?
- Which tool protects profit best in this situation?
- How long should the campaign run?
