Marketing Messages — Feature Update
The Marketing Messages feature — which allowed Pages to send promotional messages to customers outside the standard 24-hour messaging window — is no longer available for most Pages due to changes made by Meta (Facebook).
This change is controlled by Meta and is outside Boxify’s control.
What Changed
Section titled “What Changed”Meta updated its messaging policies to:
- Limit promotional broadcast messaging
- Reduce unsolicited marketing content
- Push promotional outreach toward paid advertising channels
As a result, Marketing Message functionality is restricted or removed for most Pages, regardless of region.
What You Can Do Instead
Section titled “What You Can Do Instead”Use these tools within Boxify and Facebook to stay in touch with customers:
- Comment Selling — capture orders directly from live or post comments.
- Live Sessions — engage customers and take orders in real time.
- Voucher and VIP Tier tools — reward repeat customers with discounts and perks.
- Encourage customers to message first — once a customer sends you a message, you have a 24-hour window to reply with any content.
- Sponsored Messages via Meta Ads — reach existing Messenger contacts through paid promotion.
